Recipe: Rich Chocolate Slice

- 250g chocolate cream biscuits, crushed
- 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder, sifted
- 105g dark (semi-sweet) chocolate, chopped
- 80g butter
- 1 tbsp golden syrup
- 1 egg, lightly beaten

Icing
- 105g dark (semi-sweet) chocolate, chopped
- 45g butter

- Line the base and sides of a shallow 30 x 20 cm rectangular tin with tin foil.
- Combine biscuit crumbs, coconut and cocoa in a mixing bowl.
- Combine chocolate, butter and golden syrup in a small saucepan. Stir over low heat until chocolate and butter have melted and mixture is smooth.
- Pour with the egg onto the dry ingredients. Combine well and press into prepared tin. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Icing

- Melt butter and chocolate until smooth. Allow to cool a little.
- Spread over slice. Refrigerate.

- When set cut into squares.

This slice is so incredibly rich and delicious! Definitely one to save for special occasions.
